FAVORITE WEDDING MOMENT - Candace + Jonathan

The excitement, anticipation, and nervousness about your fiance' seeing you in your wedding gown for the first time is what most girls experience on their wedding day.

My wedding day was no different!   I was so excited for Craig to see me in the dress and veil for the first time as I walked down the isle to him... But that almost didn't happen...

As I arrived to the church with my hair and makeup done, veil on, carrying my dress...Craig and his best man were walking across the parking lot!

His best man did the first thing he could think of, and tackled him while covering his head with his sweatshirt so he wouldn't see me!

This past Saturday, all of those excited, anticipatory and nervous feelings came rushing back as Sommer and I were shooting Candace and her bridesmaids outside of the church.

We called Jonathan and told him we would be in front of the church and to call my phone before he approached the block so we could go inside...But I get his excitement, anticipation and nervousness got the best of him, because he forgot to call!

All I remember is setting up the girl's for the next photo, and Candace yelled "THAT'S JONATHAN"!

I looked over my shoulder to see Jonathan driving into the parking lot, and when I turned back around, the bridesmaids were huddled around Candace covering her head with their flowers and bodies, just like Craig's best man did to him 17 years ago!

Hence, my favorite wedding moment...

Congratulations to Candace and Jonathan!

We wish you many more moments of excitement, anticipation and nervousness in your married life!

My Baby is 6

Ok so I know I am a slacker mom.  My baby turned 6 in July and we are just getting around to doing pictures.  Between shoots, weddings, school, volleyball and all the rain we've had it just never seemed like a good time.  So we had about 20 minutes one evening and beautiful light.  I threw a simple outfit on her and ran outside.  No frills, no fancy outfit, no crazy hairstyle and that was it.  I'm so glad it worked out that way.  If you follow my work you probably already know that I am a minimalist.  I love to capture the person, their personality and beauty.  Ariana did not disappoint.  She is full of personality.  I gave her little direction and she mostly just wanted to play and be silly.  I love this age.  Her personality is really starting to show, she has quite a wit and loves to draw, paint and do crafts.  She loves to sing, swim and do gymnastics.  She is so detailed and observant, notices everything, and has questions about everything.  Most of all she just loves to hang out with Mommy...always telling me she loves me and gives me kisses.  I wouldn't trade being a mom to this little girl for the world.  You'll always be my baby, I love you!

The Richarson Family is about to get bigger!

I just LOVE to shoot maternity sessions and working with Kristin and Phil was so much fun!

Not only is Kristin absolutely STUNNING, but she and Phil have a sweet loving relationship that was so easy to capture!

It is easy to see that this little baby (who will make her debut in just a few short weeks) is going to be doted over like CRAZY by these two loving parents-to-be!

CONGRATULATIONS to Kristin and Phil as their family grows to 2+1 = 3!

xoxo
