Nick & Lauren

Nick & Lauren are one of the sweetest couples I have had the privelege to shoot. Their shoot came about in a unique way. They are actually the winners of the grand prize package at one of the Bridal Fairs we attended recently. They were so thankful and commented that the prize was such a blessing. It was cold out and we had to take frequent breaks to get warmed up, but they were so easy and a pleasure to shoot. Nick & Lauren will be getting married in Greenville, SC on May 10th, 2009.

Congratulations Nick & Lauren!

Harris-Dockey Engagement

Even if our couples don't get an entire engagment session, we encourage them to come in for what we call a "break the ice" session. It takes about 5-10 minutes at most and it gives us an image to put on the website cards that we hand out to their guests on the wedding day. The password for the online proofing gallery as well as our email and phone number for questions are printed at the bottom of the image of the bride and groom and makes a nice momento for the guests.

Here are a few shots I did today of Dawn and Jeff who are getting married in April at the Ocean Club at the Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, SC.

They are a great couple and are going to be VERY fun to shoot!

My Valentine

I chose to design my daughter Amia's Valentine card this year.  We went out Tuesday afternoon to take pics. I had another location in mind, but I was losing light so I chose to shoot right outside the studio. I'm so glad I did! The simple urbanish background helped keep the focus on her.  Of course we couldn't leave out our dog Gwenie. She was not very cooperative though. It ended up being a great shoot and it only took bout 15 minutes!

                                                            Such a poser!

                                                         Amia & Gwenie

We've had so many compliments on Amia's Valentine Card!

Declan - February 2, 2009

It wasn't the best weather this past Monday, but what a FUN time it was chasing this little guy around!   He is about to turn two and is FULL of SPUNK!   He kept looking at me like "LADY!  I am NOT going to smile for you so quit trying to make me laugh!"   And that was right!   The only time I could get him to smile was when he was running from me!   I sure love 2!

HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY LILY!

Lily turned 6 years old a few days ago and had her first slumber party! Just two of her closest friends and her sister made up the party, but it was a sweet time! After the family came over for some cake and ice cream and to open her gifts, the girls (and Tripp) played Ponies, Barbies and got their nails painted before going to bed at an "early" 10pm! (Just to clarify...Tripp did NOT get his nails painted and went to bed at 9pm!)

The next morning as the sun was coming up, Lydia woke everyone up and after a WONDERFUL breakfast of toast with holes cut out and an egg cooked in the middle, bacon, orange rolls and cinnamon rolls prepared by my WONDERFUL husband, the kids all watched "Camp Rock"! (Tripp knows all the songs!)

Happy Birthday Lily-bug! We love you!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY TO TRIPP!

My youngest child just turned 2 years old and because of his obsession for "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" on the Disney Channel, we threw him a "Mickey" party!

I LOVED watching him blow out his candles...such innocence...can you imagine what a 2 year old wishes for just before he huffs and puffs?

One of his favorite toys was a REAL toad! (real skin of a toad that was stuffed!! I thought it was disgusting, but he is SO MUCH like his daddy that he thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread!)

Another favorite toy was the drum! I can't WAIT to pull out this pic when he is "jammin'" in his grunge band in our garage while he is in Middle School!

Hope you had a GREAT Birthday Buddy! We Love you!
