FAVORITE WEDDING MOMENT (and a few more...) - Leslie + Cole

Sommer and I are so lucky that we get to work with the best brides and grooms on their wedding day! And Leslie and Cole were no exception!

They are TRULY one of the sweetest, kindest, and most easy-going couples we have had this year!

It was so neat to get to know this amazing couple during the entire process leading up to their wedding day. And because (as you all know...) I have the hardest time picking favorite moments most of the time, I picked a favorite from every session with Leslie and Cole!

I was privileged to go out to Cole's family farm to shoot their engagement session a few months back, along with Cole's five-year-old son Jack. We spent hours driving around their over 3000-acres of farmland finding the coolest little areas to shoot in…

FAVORITE MOMENT #1 - The Family picnic in the field

A few weeks ago, my daughter and I went to Leslie's mother's house for Leslie's bridal session.

Her mom and "Aunt Lu" were so fun to work with!

We "ooooohed"....we "ahhhhhhed"...but most of all we laughed...Especially when Lu (being such a tiny lady) "sacrificed" herself by crouching down behind Leslie to hold her veil from blowing crazily in the wind!

FAVORITE MOMENT #2 - "Aunt Lu" hiding behind the bride…

I was invited to shoot the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding at the Reserve Harbor Marina.

Christine and her crew at Reserve were of course fabulous, and the food was phenomenal! And because the bride and groom are so gracious… They invited me to sit down and have dinner with them!

The nautical theme was ADORABLY decorated by one of our favorite wedding planners, Debbie Idol, and the couples favorite decoration was my favorite too...

FAVORITE MOMENT #3 - When Leslie and Cole saw this sign at the door to their rehearsal dinner...

The morning of Leslie and Cole's wedding, I had to shoot another event, and I was not surprised to find out that Leslie is a favorite teacher to MANY students at Myrtle Beach High School! She has impacted so many kids' lives there and the girls I spent the morning with had nothing but AMAZING things to say about their former teacher!

When Sommer and I arrived at the reception site where the bride and her attendants were getting ready, it was just as the other sessions were… Laid-back, easy-going and fun...even though the hair and makeup took a little longer than expected, and the timeline shifted a bit, Leslie was as calm and collected as they come...

The first look was so sweet...

The photos went like clock-work with the families...

And the ceremony was precious as Cole's little boy Jack stood next to his dad and witnessed him and Leslie saying their vows and sealing it with a kiss...

They are TRULY a couple that knows that even though the wedding day is so much fun to be a part of, it is really all about the days and years that come after that as they grow together in their new family...

And because the little things don't bother Leslie and Cole, I couldn't help but choose this last favorite moment...

FAVORITE MOMENT #4 - A bride who laughed while cutting her cake even though it had melted in the heat of a South Carolina plantation wedding in June!

The whole experience with this couple has been nothing but delightful and Sommer and I truly enjoyed ourselves...even if we looked like the melted cake by the end of the night! HA!

Congratulations to Leslie and Cole (and Jack) as they enjoy their new life together!

P.S. Here are a few more of our favorites from the wedding day!

Absolutely beautiful!!!! I must say that the way Cole held your face for the first kiss is what every girl wants - true love. You can see the adoration in the way that the two of you look at each other - fairy-tale. Sheri
