FAVORITE WEDDING MOMENT - Andrea + Allan

Maybe because it's been a few weeks since I've shot a wedding, but I had a hard time picking just ONE favorite moment at Andrea and Allan's wedding this past Saturday…

Andrea is the most laid-back bride, and didn't seem to mind that it poured down rain on her wedding day and we never got to take beach pictures...

A sweet flower girl, who was only two years old, was "pulled" down the aisle by her cousin...

That same sweet flower girl admired the gorgeous bride...

Dr. Brown sang the Irish blessing at the end of the ceremony which always gives me chills...

Cheerleaders did stunts...

Good friends reenacted the love that Andrea and Allan share...

A good friend serenaded them at the end of the night...

But it was the brother (the one who helped their single mom raise her from the time he was 12) at the end of the night giving his speech that really got to me.

It was because of her up bringing that this bride handles opposition with such grace.

I could literally tell story after story about this bride.

The bridesmaids were all dressed in different shades of purple dresses and even though it looked GORGEOUS...it wasn't supposed to be that way.   You see, after the dresses were ordered for the bridesmaids, the online company folded.   They only got two of the six dresses and had to look at other options.

The first of the week, Andrea realized that she needed a passport to get on the plane to their honeymoon destination and had to set out for Atlanta to attempt to get one quickly! (she got it Thursday afternoon and was back in Myrtle Beach late that night to catch a few winks before last minute details and her rehearsal dinner Friday!)

On the day if their wedding, the air conditioning in the sanctuary was not working and it was one of the hottest days of the year!

And did I mention that it poured down rain all day so the beach pictures we planned never came to fruition?  :(

This bride is simply amazing...

I truly admire her positive outlook on life and her obvious unconditional love for her family, friends and especially her new equally-amazing husband!

It was such a joy to be a part of the day that starts their new life together.

Thank you Andrea and Allan for having us and for being such a great inspiration with your laid-back, easy-going optimism!

Congratulations!

Lisa and Sommer

P.S.  Here are a few more of our FAVS from the day!

{Myrtle Beach Photographer} - Rachel's "Sneak Peak"

Congratulations to Rachel as she begins her Senior year of High School!

It seems like just yesterday that she was in my 8th grade music class at St. Andrew Catholic School!

Have a great year Rachel!

Lisa (Aka: Mrs. Young:))

And of course I had to throw one in with her big brother Drew!
