La La La...La La La... La La La La La La...I remember SOOOO vividly the nights when my little brother Tommy would only let ME rock him before bedtime when a babysitter was watching us for the night.
We would both climb into (what seemed to be at the time) a GIGANTIC rocking chair in my brothers' room and he would sing to me! La la la...etc. etc. (I sing the same tune to my kids!)
And now, my "baby" brother and his beautiful wife, Sarah, are expecting their first little bundle themselves.
It is so sweet to see how attentive he is to his wife...kids bring you closer together then you can ever imagine...I had to hold back the tears while shooting this session as flashes of a little 2-year-old, wide-eyed little toddler who followed me around EVERYWHERE now smiled at the perfectly round belly that encased his little girl.
I am SO blessed to have another little niece on the way and only hope that I get the chance to rock her and teach her the same tune that her daddy and I sang only a few...28...years ago!
Hang in there guys...she will be here before you know it! Enjoy the quiet time while it lasts and start warming up those vocal cords!
